Depending on the product and the on raw material used in the formulation, some epoxy and polyurethane systems can be affected by what is called “Stage B “.
In this case, systems are characterized by a great fragility after 24 hours as if they were mere glass. This physical state occurs when the level of polymerization is not completed between the resin and the hardener. Depending on the systems, it may be necessary to heat the parts directly into the silicone or polyurethane molds in order to allow for a complete polymerization.
