Antimicrobial Epoxy Coating for Industrial & Commercial floors. SHIELD-TEC™ 802 F Antimicrobial is a high-performance antimicrobial epoxy floor coating specifically developed for commercial, industrial, institutional, food processing and healthcare environments where durability, hygiene and ease of maintenance are essential.This two-component, 100% solids, low-odor epoxy produces a colorful, glossy and lightly textured finish. Once cured, it creates a seamless, waterproof and easy-to-clean surface designed to withstand demanding service conditions, including high humidity and frequent cleaning.

What distinguishes SHIELD-TEC™ 802F AM from a conventional industrial epoxy floor coating is its integrated antimicrobial technology. The antimicrobial agent helps protect the coating against contamination and growth from fungi, mold and mildew, helping reduce associated odors, discoloration and degradation. The product meets ASTM G21 test specifications, and the antimicrobial technology is approved by the PMRA (Health Canada) and EPA (United States) and is compliant with the European Union BPR.

Designed for environments where floors are exposed to heavy use, moisture and repeated cleaning, SHIELD-TEC™ 802F AM provides excellent impact resistance along with good chemical and abrasion resistance. Its low-viscosity, self-leveling formulation can be applied using a roller, brush, straight squeegee or serrated squeegee depending on the desired application and thickness.

The technical data sheet reports 84 Shore D hardness, 105 MPa compressive strength, 33.5 MPa tensile strength and Taber abrasion resistance of 0.060 g.

Recommended Flooring System

For best results on properly prepared concrete, SHIELD-TEC™ 801 is the recommended primer, followed by SHIELD-TEC™ 802 F Antimicrobial as the floor coating. The technical data sheet recommends two layers, with approximately 8–12 hours between applications and a maximum recoat interval of 24 hours. Light traffic is possible after approximately 24 hours, while full cure is achieved after 7 days at 22°C / 72°F.
